We understand the frustration of losing your car key. New England Locks, Inc. has technicians all over the Boston Metro area to ensure quick response time. Keys replaced for almost all makes and models of vehicles.
How does it work? All car keys are either cut to code, pattern or lock. Our auto locksmiths carry blank keys that can be cut at the roadside with the latest key cutting machinery that utilizes computer software to ensure a perfect fit.
If the original key is not available the lost car key can be re-manufactured and cut to code from the door or ignition lock. Car locks can be altered to different combinations and new car keys provided to ensure your lost keys or even stolen car keys cannot be used.
If your car is fitted with an immobilizer system it will only operate with a correctly programmed transponder key we will need to reprogram a new key to your vehicles main ECU.
Vehicle Entry:
If you have accidentally locked your keys in the car, New England Locks, Inc. can help! Our professional automotive locksmiths have ample amounts of experience with gaining entry into vehicles without causing any damage. This is done by the car locksmith utilizing special tools and techniques proven time after time.
The auto locksmith will have your car open and get you back on the road in no time at all!
Transponder Keys:
Vehicles fitted with an immobilizer system require a transponder key with an embedded electronic transponder chip to start the vehicle. When the key is turned in the ignition the code is read and the vehicle will only start if the correct code is received.
This system was introduced to reduce vehicle crime and prevent cars from being started without the correct key. A broken or lost transponder car key will result in the vehicle not starting upon turning the key in the ignition.
The auto locksmith utilizes highly sophisticated key programming equipment, which allows our mobile car locksmiths to program replacement transponder keys for most makes of vehicle at the roadside. This is either done from the original key, one of the locks or by code.
Damaged Locks:
Today automobile locks are much more complex than those of just a few years ago. A poorly cut or badly worn key will lead to early failure of most auto locks. The equipment needed to duplicate these keys must be calibrated and adjusted often to make good duplicates. Our auto locksmiths will do it right the first time, saving you time and money. Car keys that are stuck or broken in the car lock can be extracted by one of our car locksmiths and a new replacement car key cut on site. |
